By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Account means the unique profile created for you to access the Service.
Application means the mobile application titled "Carvy — AI Car Diagnostics."

Device means any device used to access the Service, including smartphones and tablets.
Personal Data means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to an individual.
Vehicle Data means information you provide or that we retrieve relating to your vehicle, including registration plates, VIN numbers, make, model, year, engine type, MOT history, service records, and diagnostic inputs.
Diagnostic Data means the symptoms, descriptions, photos, videos, warning light reports, and other inputs you submit when requesting a diagnosis, along with the AI-generated results.
Usage Data means data collected automatically through your use of the Service, including device information, activity logs, and analytics data.
User Content means photos, videos, documents, text, or other inputs you upload or submit through the Service.
You means the individual using the Service or the organisation on whose behalf the Service is used.
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from the respective provider.
Vehicle Data: Registration plates, VIN numbers, and vehicle details (make, model, year, engine, colour, and service history) that you provide or that we retrieve from official government vehicle databases (such as DVLA and DVSA in the UK, and NHTSA in the US) on your behalf.
Diagnostic Data: The symptoms, warning lights, noises, smells, photos, and videos you provide when requesting a diagnosis, along with the AI-generated diagnostic results. We may use anonymised or aggregated diagnostic inputs to improve our AI models and product features. We do not associate such inputs with your identity when used for internal development.
Uploaded documents: Any service records, MOT certificates, receipts, or other documents you upload to your Car Vault.
Usage Data: Device type, operating system, app version, IP address, timestamps, activity logs, crash data, feature usage analytics, and performance data. This helps us secure, improve, and optimise the Service.
Subscription data: Subscription status and transaction identifiers. Payment processing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play — we do not store card or payment details.
Anonymous session data: Before you create an account, Carvy may assign a temporary anonymous session to allow you to explore the app. Minimal data is stored under anonymous sessions and is replaced when you create a full account.
By submitting User Content, you grant Carvy a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, store, process, reproduce, modify, and create derivative works from your User Content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including internal AI model training.
We do not publicly display your photos or documents without your express consent.
Documents stored in your Car Vault are never used for model training.
Diagnostic inputs (symptom descriptions, images) may be used in anonymised or aggregated form to improve our AI, but are never linked back to your identity or vehicle.
Your data is stored securely in our cloud infrastructure (hosted in the UK/EU) in compliance with UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and applicable international data protection laws. We use strict access controls to ensure only you can access your own data.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or necessary for the purposes described. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us. Some data may persist where legally required.
